Apohealth Famciclovir cold sores is indicated for the treatment of recurrent herpes labialis (cold sores) in immunocompetent adults aged 18 years and over. It can also be used for the treatment of herpes zoster infection in adult patients who commence therapy within 72 hours of the onset of rash.
Usage Directions
Your doctor or pharmacist will tell you how many tablets you will need to take. This depends on your condition and whether you are taking any other medicines.
The usual dose is one 250 mg tablet three times each day for seven days, beginning no later than 72 hours after the rash appears.
Your doctor may have prescribed a different dose.
