Maltofer Iron syrup is for the treatment of dietary iron deficiency in adults and adolescents where the use of ferrous iron supplements is not tolerated or is otherwise inappropriate.
It has fewer and milder side effects compared to ferrous iron supplements, therefore you experinece lesser nausea and constipation, while still getting an effective dose of iron. Maltofer iron is absorbed by the body in an active and controlled manner. The active ingredient ensures your body only absorbs the iron that it needs and when it is needed.
Usage Directions
Treatment of iron deficiency in adults and adolescents (Children ≥ 12 years)
Take 100 mg to 200 mg iron, 10 – 20 mL syrup, or 40-80 drops) daily preferably with food, or higher doses as directed by your medical practitioner.
Prevention of iron deficiency in adults and adolescents (Children ≥ 12 years)
Take 100 mg iron, 10 mL syrup, or 40 drops daily preferably with food, or higher doses as directed by your medical practitioner.
The tablets can be taken with water.
Store below 25°C away from heat and light.
Ingredients
Maltofer Syrup contains 50mg iron/5 mL as 185 mg iron polymaltose. Inactive ingredients: Cream lavour, ethanol, methyl hydroxybenzoate, propyl hydroxybenzoate, water-puriied, sodium hydroxide, sorbitol solution (70%) non-crystallising and sucrose.
