Overview:

How to use:

Adults: Take 1 capsule by mouth ONE to TWO times per day or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. 

 

Warnings: 

• Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this supplement if you have a bleeding disorder, planning to have surgery, are taking high blood pressure medications, nitroglycerin for angina, blood thinners or anticoagulants.
• Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet. 

Side effects:

N-Acetyl Cysteine is generally well tolerated and regarded as safe. Most adverse effects tend to occur at higher than normal doses. 

Orally, N-Acetyl cysteine may cause:

• Gastrointestinal adverse effects in about 2% to 6% of patients, including diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, constipation, heartburn, dyspepsia, epigastric pain, loss of appetite, flatulence, dry mouth, gastric upset, and intolerable taste and odour. 
• Headache, dizziness, tiredness, disorientation, inability to concentrate, rash, dysuria, joint pain, pain in the legs, and respiratory effects have also been reported in 1%-2% of the population.
