Overview
Lifestream Bowel Biotics Fibre is 100% natural containing prebiotics and probiotics to maintain healthy intestinal bacteria and ensure regular bowel movements.
Lifestream Bowel Biotics Fibre has been developed to help, with a nutritious balanced diet, to keep the bowels healthy in a totally natural way. In order to achieve this, Lifestream Bowel Biotics Fibre has three specific natural ingredients.
Psyllium husk is approximately 2/3 soluble fibre (helps to bind with toxins and waste) and 1/3 insoluble fibre (creates bulk and helps to move waste through the bowel) making an ideal mix of both types of beneficial daily fibre. When water is added to psyllium husks, a soft gel forms and this results in softer and smoother waste elimination and encourages the presence of natural bacteria in the bowel.
Inulin is a naturally occurring prebiotic, or oligosaccharide (several simple sugars linked together), that is resistant to digestion in the stomach and intestines. It is metabolised in the colon by bigidobacteria and lactobacilli. Inulin stimulates the growth and activity of beneficial bacteria while simultaneously reducing the population of unfriendly bacteria in the colon. Recently, studies have shown regular use of inulin supports healthy fat levels around internal organs.
Probiotics are live microbial organisms that populate the gut (such as lactobacillus and bifidobacteria) that are beneficial to health. ‘Good’ and ‘bad’ bacteria are continually competing with each other in the gut and it is now clearly recognised that long term health of the bowels and overall wellbeing can depend on maintaining a favourable balance of friendly bacteria in the colon.
Directions for Use
Adults: 2 rounded teaspoons (6.4g), 1-2 times daily
Children 6-12yrs: 1 rounded teaspoon (3.2g), 1-2 times daily
Mix into large glass of water or juice, stir well and consume immediately. Follow this with another glass of water or juice. Best taken ½ hour before or after food, supplements and medication.
